Still going strong – Uber-favourite Rob Jebb prepared well, Wilkinson not to defend

All the rumours seem to suggest that Team Hope rider Rob Jebb will be heading for an amazing tenth victory this Sunday. It’s all too easy to assume that Rob will win – we’ve all become used to it. Just remind yourself of all the bits of luck / chance / serendipity that can influence this race. It’s a fine balance, but if all goes relatively smoothly for the contenders, Jebb is still a clear favourite.

As the Craven Herald site shows here, the women’s champion Victoria Wilkinson will sadly not be at the event because of the re-running of the Edale Skyline Fell Race. Missing that race will mean that Jebb, who currently leads the British Fell Running Championships yet again will not win the Fell Champs this year.
