Thankfully the tyres stayed up and the show carried on to wider tracks where some careful descending led to the beautiful Ribblehead viaduct. I know it’s a beautiful viaduct because I’ve seen the photos – to be honest I was so ‘in the zone’ I never even noticed it during the race!
