Andrew Burgess has laboured away for a few years at the peaks, and like many, seemed to break through the PB ceiling this year.
Budge’s time of 4 hrs 17 was a vast improvement – well done Andrew.
“The road to Pen-Y-Ghent was the usual slog and I took the opportunity to throw down my remaining gels in readiness for the final peak. Pen-Y-Ghent was a blur. My energy levels were right down and I was really suffering. I did manage to ride up as far as you can but after this I was doing the zombie march to the summit.”
