I’ve known pain, waking up after orthopaedic surgery my feet in a pool of blood, morphine wearing off, no Doctor to prescribe the correct meds. This was altogether different, I knew I couldn’t stop moving, the dark strands of discomfort tightening with every pedal stroke. Literally screaming I struggled with myself as much as the bike, each revolution feeling like it was tearing my muscles apart, but to let off would bring even more misery as it would seize control.
