The 54th 3 Peaks Cyclo-Cross Challenge covers 38 miles – and four of them are physically unrideable due to the severity of the steep incline. Throughout the course, which started out at Helwith Bridge with a five mile escort, there was 5000 feet of climbing. One of the steepest sections is Simon Fell, pictured.
