Andy Ward’s second ‘peaks wasn’t quite the same as the sunny first one in 2015. This year, like most of us, Andy realised it’s a l;earning curve. (Constantly. Every year!)
The climbs really hurt, the descents can be terrifying and you get cramp in muscles you didn’t know you had, but the atmosphere and the feeling of achievement at the end make all of that worthwhile. The marshalls, the mountain-rescue teams and the organisers are all heroes.
