Not satisfied with achieving the most iconic 3 Peaks photo in recent years (and getting lots of ££s donated to #RideForCharlie in the process), Stephen Smith has gone and smashed out a great set of very moody Whernside summit photos.
Riders from this year will known that the top of the ridge has been resurfaced this summer and is generally much more rideable than in recent years, but the riders’ faces in these photos just prove the old LeMond addage that it doesn’t get easier, you just get faster.
