After – for the second year running – the 3 Peaks fell race organisers announced a move to the cyclo-cross race weekend in 2021, eyes rolled. In what we hope to be a national recovery period from COVID-19 if not quite a full on post-pandemic world, it seemed reckless and very strange to put the people of Horton-in Ribblesdale and other smaller ‘route’ locations through the mill of mass visitors two days on the trot.
With this in mind (we assume!), the (other!) 3 Peaks Race reported yesterday that it has re-rescheduled the 2021 race for Saturday 9th October.
Phew.
