Parental pride running over as Elsie was one of two Junior Women to start and finish the race yesterday at their first attempt. Anyone who’s been there knows for any rider, junior, and regardless of gender, this is a tough day out, and as a parent my nerves were pretty frayed, so I was overjoyed to see her take the Junior trophy after a tough ride with a couple of hard descents on flat tyres. With Charlie Craig never far from our thoughts, this was such a special day for Elsie. Big thanks to Nick and Sarah. ANd thanks too to Richard Fenn who kindly donated the new Junior Women’s trophy to the event.
Get to hear Elsie refer to me as ‘my father’ as we do it all a bit 3rd person.
