Is it technically 3 Peaks training when you’re not doing the race this year?

It felt like it.

Mates Carl and Alan were off up Bull Hill to hone their 3 Peaks form a couple of weeks before the race, and seeing as it’s September, but I’m not riding off road until my surgery’s done, I thought I’d join them, but running.

It was a good laugh really – bikes push you on the descents when you’re running, but you can easily drop cyclists on a carry-climb when you haven’t got a bike to carry. I was goosed by the end of it, but it was fun to ‘feel like’ I was training for the race this year.
