Noticed this from one of the big legends of UK Cyclocross, Barry Davies, over on Facebook.
Just remembered that this Sunday it will be 50 years since I rode my very first 3 Peaks Cyclo cross. Had no real Ideal of what it involved, had spent a day with Neil Orrell going over the course but got lost on the top of Ingleborough having missed the Cairn, and had to be rescued by Neil who returned to the top to find me. We got to the bottom and decided to go home as must was almost down to Horton..So it was a case of follow the leaders , although did take the prime at the top of Penyghent which was the first one them..Think I finished 12th ??
